How come everything is the same but my feeling? ONE check of $20,000 vs. TEN checks of $20 each. How come one $20,000 check increase my heart beat 100 times faster than ten $20 checks? “今天早上,不知为什么就是很自然的比平常早起了十几分钟...我发现一切都变了… 路口的红灯其实没有那么长. 地铁的人潮不是那么的恐怖, 车次的频率还是挺高的, 车厢里的人也没有那么讨厌了, 到公司的路变短了, 原来春晨的空气是那么新鲜的, 路旁的大树都长出新叶子了, 买早餐的队伍也缩短了, 服务员的态度是那样亲切的, 早餐是那么可口的.....
我发现今天早晨一切都变得那么的美好!心情是那么的舒畅!这样的感觉真好,而这一切都是因为我早起了十几分钟!!!”
Today I need to attend one of my clients’ meeting at 8 AM. Normally, I wake up at 9 AM but because of this meeting, I have to wake up at 7 AM. That’s like TWO hours earlier! Since I read <<早起十分钟>>, I thought I would experience the similar feeling.
However the truth was, This morning was really chilly because the sun was not high and strong enough yet;
The traffic on the highway was even worse because it was the morning rush hours;
All the stores, except for Starbucks, were still closed because it was too early to open;
People in downtown were about the same as before, still busy passing by;
The walking distance between work and home was no difference, still took 20 minutes;
Most importantly,
Not only could I not fully focus during the meeting because it was too early for my brain to work,
but also I felt even hungrier than before even though I had breakfaster in the morning.
Home come?
Is it because that is the difference between living in China and America?
Is it because that is the difference between waking up ten minutes and two hours early?
If so, rather than being earlier, I prefer to being on time: 来得早，不如来的巧！ 3/2/2008 Be A Smart Guy!
Do you want to be a foolish guy who buys the most expensive things that your girl friend doesn’t like the most?
Or do you want to be a smart guy who only buys the good things that your girl friend asks for and loves to death?
Obvious, the second one is much better. So how do we know what kind of things she likes the best? We haven’t seen each other for a long time. We don’t know whether she changed her taste or not. Plus, we are guys; how should we know what the best is for girl?
Simply – ASK! Why do we want to waste more money that we earn so hard on the things she doesn’t like the most? If we can spend less money on the things she prefers the most, it will be a win-win situation for both of us.

Is it 群龙聚守 the Wall Street? Is it 金光闪闪 the Golden Bull? Is it 高耸无比 the Empire State Building? Is it 购物天堂 the Soho? Is it 地下心脏 the Grand Central Terminal? Is it 美丽清静 the Columbia University?
OR
Is it 花花绿绿 the advertisements? Is it 人山人海 the crowds? Is it 五步一停 the traffic lights? Is it 乱停霸道 the taxis? Is it 无处不见 the messiness? Is it 街上堆积 the garbage bags?
I guess what really makes New York New York
is the FREEDOM of everything.
